LEARNING THAT FEELS HUMAN.
At Kindred Learning Solutions, we create learning that feels human. We’re a collaborative agency of educators, storytellers, and design strategists who believe that learning should include everyone, honor lived experience, and make space for reflection, complexity, and growth.
We don’t just build content. We build connection.
OUR BELIEFS
The following core beliefs define who we are and how we work:
Brave Conversations in Safe Spaces.
We believe in creating spaces where vulnerability is respected, and difficult conversations lead to better understanding. Our learning environments are intentionally designed to foster trust and courage, enabling learners to explore complex issues openly.
Learning Should Include Everyone.
We believe learning is for everyone. True inclusivity means more than just accessibility—it means actively seeking and valuing diverse perspectives. We strive to create experiences where all voices are heard and honored.
We recognize that everyone brings unique insights, skills, and experiences to learning. Our approach integrates storytelling and authentic narratives, allowing learners to see themselves and others through empathetic and relatable contexts.
Honor Lived Experiences.
Space for Reflection, Complexity, and Growth.
We believe that because learning is beautifully messy and deeply personal, it demands space to pause and reflect. That's why we intentionally craft safe opportunities for learners to engage with nuanced ideas and embrace complexity, fostering genuine growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Connection Before Content.
We believe meaningful learning starts with human connection because relationships form the very foundation of trust and transformation. When we prioritize empathy and genuine connection, learners feel seen, respected, and empowered. This approach ensures learning experiences that not only resonate deeply and endure but also help build understanding and a strong sense of community.
OUR STORY
(A word from our founder)
In 2018, I began my eighth year of teaching and unknowingly took the first steps toward founding Kindred Learning Solutions.
That year, I was working at an alternative school, a specialized setting for students who had been formally excluded from their home campuses for disciplinary or legal reasons. These students were assigned to our campus for a range of time, from a few weeks to nearly an entire school year.
Many had been pushed out of traditional learning spaces and labeled as problems long before any official paperwork made that exclusion formal. And while the reasons varied, one thing was clear: they had all experienced a break in connection from school, from community, and often from a sense of belonging.
What I encountered in that space changed me.
These young people were navigating significant and often invisible challenges. But when we made space for connection before content, when we led with empathy and honored their lived experiences, something began to shift. They engaged. They took risks. They started to rewrite their stories.
What I saw in that classroom wasn't just a need for academic support. It was the same set of deeply human needs we all carry into learning spaces, regardless of age, background, or context: the need to feel seen, to feel valued, and to belong.
These students helped me understand something profound: when people don't feel included, when their perspectives are dismissed or their stories ignored, learning becomes harder, if not impossible. But when we meet those needs with intention, when we create psychological safety and design learning experiences that center care and trust, people begin to open up. They reflect. They grow.
What struck me most was this: the learning environments that helped the most excluded students thrive also helped everyone thrive. When we design with care for those most often left out, we end up creating something better for all.
That insight continues to guide Kindred's work today. The professionals in our workshops, the leaders in our programs, the lifelong learners we support all bring their own learning histories, including moments of not being seen, heard, or fully included.
We believe learning begins with belonging, not with proving you deserve to be there. That it should restore trust, not diminish it. And that when learning respects the humanity of each person in the room, transformation becomes possible for everyone.
OUR APPROACH
At Kindred Learning Solutions, we tackle learning challenges by focusing on the people at the center of them. Our process is collaborative and straightforward: we listen carefully, understand what's really going on, and then design learning that actually works for your audience.
Our approach centers on two key steps: understanding people deeply and designing with intention.
Understand people deeply
We start by listening. We want to understand not just the challenge you're facing, but the people who need to engage with the solution. We dig into context, motivations, and real experiences to figure out what actually matters to your audience.
This focus on empathy ensures that everything we build connects with people where they are.
Design with intention
Once we understand your people, we design learning that feels natural and relevant to them. We create experiences that speak their language, respect their experiences, and invite genuine engagement and reflection.
We also make sure every solution supports your bigger goals - so the work doesn't just feel good, it delivers real outcomes: better engagement, lasting behavior change, and stronger team dynamics.
Throughout the process, we work closely with you. When learning is built with care and collaboration, it moves beyond just sharing information - it actually changes how people think and work.
OUR CLIENTS
We partner with organizations tackling learning challenges that matter - from building inclusive cultures to guiding teams through change to creating professional development that actually develops people.
Our best collaborations happen around projects where connection and reflection are as important as content, where there's appetite for learning experiences that feel authentic rather than transactional.
We'd love to hear about your project and see how we might help.
